JUAN EPSTEIN: REFLECTION ETERNAL (TALIB KWELI & HI-TEK)

Reflection Eternal and Juan Epstein… What could go wrong??? OR… What could go right???
This is a one of my favorite Juan Eps ever. We actually got them to perform some of my favorite songs live on the podcast. Now we have spoke to Kweli lots of times but it definitely was different with Hi-Tek in the room. We started remembering little details that we weould always forget to as Kweli when he was by himself. For example. who was the girl on the little interlude before the “The Blast” that couldn’t pronounce Talib Kweli correctly??? (cause she sounded hot). And there is a guest appearance by our friend Matt Pinfield. It really is a Juan Epstein Experience. Peace to the Gods And The Earths…

SkankyRJ - March 18, 2009 at 10:46 am
good look. Juan Ep is going to down as one of those timeless journalistic pieces of Hip Hop, like Yo MTV Raps or (the dope) Rap City or some some shit.

Wow.

Great podcast nonetheless.
perfection7 - March 19, 2009 at 8:31 am
@WordUp you know on itunes they have all the juan eps on the podcast page? type juan ep in the search and u can download them all.
perfection7 - March 19, 2009 at 8:32 am
great juan ep show!!!
when talib was speaking on selective memorization of songs, it got me thinking who has the largest mental lyrical database???
i would have to give it to black thought.
that dude could rhyme for a month straight.
he’s like an ipod classic and shit.
guanzilla - March 19, 2009 at 1:32 pm
SOLID JUAN EP! I LOVE THESE INTERVIEWS!
gullyside - March 19, 2009 at 2:06 pm
@ elem.
props for that link. It’ll be really useful for older Juan Eps if i want to download ‘em.
@ perfection7.
thanks for the info. To my understanding iTunes charges for their downloads (not sure how much). As much as Juan Epstein episodes are worth paying for.. i’m still the type of guy that’ll look to try get it for free first.. (its a recession!) lol aside from that though, i don’t really fuck with iTunes anyway.
WordUp - March 19, 2009 at 3:00 pm
*update*
Just checking out the iTunes website. On the podcast section. It looks like they do offer ‘em for free.. (i guess i was wrong) and if that’s the case, i mite check it out it after all.

“He He, me Jen on podcast, hehehehe” Funny shit. It would be great in Jen from Brooklyn really talked like that!
Goldyfox23 - March 19, 2009 at 8:59 pm
PS. Ciph, you need to work on your diet, I cant believe you let that slacker Rosenberg beat you. He used to look like an old fat jew, but now you look older and dirtier than him! Come one Ciph, you can’t let that jew outshine you!!!
Goldyfox23 - March 19, 2009 at 9:03 pm
I’ve never been one to post comments on websites but I HAD to take the time to thank you Ciph for all the Juan Ep podcasts. I find myself listening to these over and over again. It’s the perfect format. I know you guys would love to get every single backstory of every single dope song an artist put out which in all honesty would be boring. But the way you guys are doing it…getting little tidbits of info here and there is PERFECT! Thanks again Ciph. You have a fan here in the LBC.
Peace.
