WAX ON WEDNESDAYS: (HIP-HOP) – OUTKAST “PLAYER’S BALL”
Obviously Outkast is one of my favorite groups of all time, and I’m talking about early early Kast, before everybody jumped on the bandwagon. I remember bumping the first album and people were looking at me crazy. Those first 3 Outkast albums got me through some hard times. Now on some DJ shit, this 12 inch is one of my favorites. The extended version where the singing comes in at the begining is my shit. And let’s not forget the BANGING ass drums off top. Everytime I see Andre and/or Big Boi I tell them what their music did for me. I also got an oppurtunity to go to Rico Wades crib in ATL when I was A&Ring at Tommyboy and see how Organized Noize produced that dungeon sound, and it was incredible. So bump this in you Ipod or Bang it in a club.
P.S. I cleaned up some of the versions for all my radio people out there. So enjoy, and please send me feedback, and please spread the word of Don’t Get Gassed… I appreciate it.
