Back on the block suckas, We were supposed to have Mr. Chazz Palmentari aka Sunny from Bronxtale on the show today, but it got messed up. He will be on tomorrow. I talked about going snowboarding this weekend and doing real well until the montain decided to take me out on that last run. I think I cracked my rib. We also recapped the Golden Globe awards, a marriage at Taco Bell, and we did our G.O.A.T. list. Greatest Gangster Flick of all time….

Damn I am starting to get annoyed with Rosenberg’s stance on the Israel/Gaza situation. Its a really big deal what is going on over in the Middle East and its like Rosenberg is trying to sweep it under the rug.
It would be nice to get real updates regarding the situation but because Rosenberg obviously is uncomfortable reporting it, he just breezes over it like its not important.
Anyway, big up Ciph. I went to your past comedy show with my girl and shit was dope.

Yo Ciph – Watup with a pic of Jen from Brooklyn? Shout 2 Yarn Hats.
FreshSeth - January 12, 2009 at 5:28 pm
yo brook oscar,
while it is a situation in gaza is one that the world at large is definitely keeping an eye on, it’s not really checked for through the hip-hop scope. so while i’m sure pmd has some views on the situation, i highly doubt hot 97 as a radio station is going to have an hour long roundtable discussion on air, cuz, sad to say, a good majority of its audience is indifferent to the situation.
p.s. if NJ was still doing the news, would she be the one treated as a pariah for not speaking her views on the situation? no. she’s an employee of hot 97, the same way peter is, and they have to do right by the station and that means keeping ish light for the people on their early morning grind. the issue of the gaza strip might too heavy for most to digest.
no disrespect to anyone involved with the struggle, direct or otherwise.

You fell on your big head if you don’t list The Godfather as one of the greatest movies period.

Elvin - January 12, 2009 at 10:17 pm
The movies in your list are more about “the end of the mafia.” The Godfather is about the traditions and the ways of the old country. It’s special like that.
Honorable mentions have to go to New Jack City and certain seasons of The Sopranos.
