CIPHA SOUNDS & ROSENBERG: 12/9/08

This is what we do… We had a lot of issues to deal with today. The racial beating of 2 Ecuadorians in Brooklyn, which is super wack. Also talked about tipping for the holidays, and trying to figure how much to give my doorman and parking lot guys. Plus we had “Showdown with Cipha Sounds” and I still hold the crown. Then we had some great guest. We had Wale and EPMD on the show so please enjoy.

@ Ciph: I know you probably heard this anyway but maybe you shouldn’t say you don’t celebrate christmas until someone actually asks for a gift. This way you will still receive presents( <– thats not a pause).
ldnx10 - December 9, 2008 at 10:11 am
i cant say i dont celebrate christmas, but with the “holiday season” creeping earlier each year, i get tired of that shit. sad thing is, wifey is fucking Mrs Claus in this house!

I just buy a box of cards for gifts and write something small. I’m not rich, but it shows that you’re not ignoring em. Maybe they don’t like that they’re not getting cash, but you’re showing them the respect to acknowledge them.
Also, where’s that Juan Ep Ciph? I mean, if you plug it it should be up.

[...] Ciph and Rosenberg report that Washington D.C is going to allow all the bars to sell alcohol 24hrs a day, for four days during President-Elect Obama’s inauguration. This does not sound like the D.C I know, so I do some “research”. Sho-nuff, NPR and The Huffingtonpost also report that from Jan.17th through Jan.21st at 2am, D.C is going to be completely drunk. All drunk anxiety aside, it’s a pretty good idea for a city to capitalize any way possible, on what is sure to be a huge influx of revenue; especially during the current economic environment. A economic environment I like to call “Yeah, it sucks begin poor doesn’t it! Now you see what all the bitching was about Mr.Wall street man. I’ll take paper thank you.” I digress. I wish I could be there during the celebration, because I know what D.C was like after Bush was first “elected” to office, because I was there. All of D.C seemed to hate itself. There were protests through the Federal Mall everyday. Instead of celebrations, there were angry marches. Instead of wine and spirits flowing all night, there was extra security around the White House and Capital Building with an extended security permitted. Everyone was nervous about tomorrow, and now we know why. Actually, after reflecting on those early Bush moments, there is a bit of poetry in ignoring last-call for a few days; after the past eight years, an extra beer might be exactly what American needs come January 20th. Cheers. This entry was posted by Amart on Wednesday, December 10th, 2008 at 9:27 pm and is filed under barack obama. Tags: D.C extends drinking / obama inauguration No Related Post [...]
