JUAN EPSTEIN: 11/14/08 – BIG DADDY KANE

20 years since “Long Live The Kane” and the start of one of the greatest rappers of all time… Big Daddy Kane. This is the episode of “Juan Epstein” strictly for real hip hop heads. Kane talks about Marley Marl, Biz Markie, Juice crew, and even Jay-Z and Biggie. I also got the “Throwback at Noon” with Mr. Cee Playing all Big Daddy Kane songs, and I put the Originals of the “Long Live the Kane” album. A little something for the weekend… enjoy.

As for Big Daddy Kane & I’m only speaking for me. He was my favorite
and the best as far as the 80’s. He had an edge over both KRS & Rakim.
Not only was he a fucking dope as lyricist, but he was also a ghost-writer,
a sex symbol, a conscious rapper (Taste OF Chocolate for example & others)
trendsetter, could dress his ass off, always jeweled up and could dance his
muthafuckin’ ass off. He got the job done. Him an L.L. were somewhat alike
but Kane to me wins the title. His swagger was like no other. OK I’m done.

Never knew Rakim was supposed to be on Heavy D’s – ‘Don’t Curse’. Only on Juan Epstein! Really glad you brought up the beef question regarding Kane/Rakim. It’s always been kind of hip-hop mystery and we finally got to hear his side of it.
ps, Did you guys do a Juan Epstein with Common? I really hope so.
1ne.

young piff clinton - November 15, 2008 at 4:21 pm
So I guess Fat Joe was lyin when he said he was onstage with biggie and pac and BDK fronted on him. I knew that sounded a little fishy. Rosenberg shouldve asked I think he was a lil scared to do so.
KobeTellMeHowMyAssTaste - November 15, 2008 at 6:30 pm

no its not lazy he saw the market yeah they was going on tour off mix tapes … think about that for a min… no really … think about that shit
on tour….you dont understand…try it yo self
Jay said he was going to slow his shit down stretch the game out … put jigga on top and give you hits non stop … stop if he figured out that shit early… that trl part is rap these mix tapes are hip hop straight hip hop if you dont see that… I feel you may be you didnt see Bizmarkie bring Big daddy kane on stage introducing him or Eric B stand the fuck up like we all did at the apollo to see Jazzy jeffs transformer scratch or feel 50’s 50 bars of pleasure [50 bars of pain] (I know you’ll lookin for shit right now and the ones who find it goin ape) (shame its mostly women though… and 50 lol but what ever) 50 embodies that shit b word up…! IF he s that wack why you still talking about him then? … like kat williams said …. Ill wait… why 7 months and thisis went from 10 thousand maufuccas to 200k stop he aint getting money? Oh you cant say that can you? not only did he make one of the largest deals in regular business history but he pointed out repeatedly who really made the lion share of the money. Na nikka dont get glassed over yet lets talk when he started he said he wanted at least half of what hip hop is generating as a whole. While nas (hip hop royalty) is saying hip hop took it to billions I knew we would 50 is going the step further and saying I want half at least. Thats at least 4 billion dollars… let that sink in … again Ill wait…. you know what this is boy … the art of getting robbed haha what ever dog this nigga was walking down Jamaica ave spraying to toolie in hollis park and he went to mutha fuccin p[ages of forbes … nigga please wit ya hollywood…. what he was trying to do before nikkas forgot certian fucking people use divide and concour to keep us down and fuckin dead sided wit someone that wanted him dead literally so yea he set in on them used them for a gimick. Sure nas is the God that he is the son of (give it a min) but if he did that to me id have my head cocked to the left pulling it back squenting too. So heads like game talking shit like he dont know what the fuck the beefs about and Buck loosing focus like he dont know cause his money aint as right as 50s no nigga what the fuck you want for free you got the opportunity make yo shit happen. He said sex money murder I gotta eat, and comensed to eating every fucking thing in site greedy muafucca lol …. say that not one person said he was greedy no they wan say he wack or banks voice changed … nikka shut up yeah banks voice changed he was like 19 when he started and you heard it in his voice even after the mix tapes 50 is the future I may be mistaken but I think that Biggie shit Victory was on the later mixtape (yea I still stay sayin mixx tape fuckit straight hip hop what …. let this bitch breathe ….) and hell yea he got better he went from rhymin on the block wit Tone(what you dont know Tone is nice? My uncle DJ Dangerous is rediculous) (shout out to dj dangerous Free dj dangerous yall sleepin on this one word to my muva!) anyway, to knowin the whole eastern seaboard was listening so fuck you ima get better too and…. (slow down son ya killin’m lol) The business is entertainment… hello when you find a payphone that keeps spittin out quarters do you stop no you do you till that shit dries up right…? (……………hes gone…lol it shouldnt have to be like this … hes gone) haha Great one is demoted to just one… now if you wanna say something lol against my hommie that dont know me…lol do that shit when Im sick or some shit and aint just been studying all day and got nuttin better to do matter fact go ahead make my day… (just imagine when I talk about something I really think is important grrrrrrrrr) GGGG what? haha
