I Don’t Play with Balls…

True confession… I make it a habit to stay on top on the latest sh*t, but I seldom actually cop any of it for myself. Partly because the latest sh*t is expensive as f*ck! And partly because the hottest sh*t is rarely practical. So in the end I stick with what I got.
Take my blackberry for instance… For the last year or so I’ve been rocking a retro-berry… my sh*t’s so old it has Alzheimer’s. It forgets to notify me that I have a new message and then deletes it right away because it has no memory. I tried the Curve and the Pearl, but I’m just not sold of that track ball thing. I hate the way it’s positioned – Peep how Rev Run looks typing on it at the end of an episode of Run’s House – the dude is usually in the tub surrounded by bubbles man, and typing with two hands – no doubt about it, the trackball is a gateway to gaydom. Gimme my old school side scroll any day.
So needless to say… I’m excited about the new Blackberry Storm. It could be my way around the whole trackball thing. The design is dope… but now I’m back where I started… How practical is a touch screen?

that blackberry storm is niceā¦.
You should buy it, and call Jim Jones and tell him TO GIVE ME MY SHIRT!!!
I bought a dipset shirt for 25 dollars over 2 months ago and havent gotten sh!t!!
Man, I got deeboed!!!!
P.S. Since rosenberg is “practically” in dipset and is the “capo to the capo” tell him to talk to jimmy and tell him marco in houston wants his shirt!

Looks like a good device. It’s hard to say how responsive and accurate the touch screen will be until you try it. Every phone uses slightly different technology for touch. No wi-fi though. Is an iPhone off the table?

i agree…side scroll is much better. i support BB’s here at the IT job i’m at. 8700′s are still in production for our users.

Geez…I guess I’m the only Mac faithful here. The iPhone has a huge advantage over the BB. The applications that you download open it up in every way possible. Small example: my iPhone is a searchable remote (with album covers) to operate my main sound system anywhere in the house.
The touch vs keyboard is so personal to individual. Borrow an iPhone for 2 days and you’ll buy one.

Storm is nice but I’ll stick to the LG Dare…It’s got mostly everything I need including the touch screen (vibration). cell phones always give the ‘grass is greener on the other side’ feeling but I can’t make the jump in these times – gotta watch the loot!

I had a blackberry and then I got the iPhone. The iPhone 3G is the best phone I’ve ever owned. I’m a mac addict so I might not be looking at objectively. Here is an idea, during one of your shows have a blackberry user and iPhone user debate the subject and let you experience the good and the bad of both phones or the phones your interested in.

All signs were pointing to T-Mobile getting the bold. Now I’m hearing they won’t have the Bold, but the Javelin, which is not 3G capable. I’m hearing the Google phone is gonna be nice, but I can’t leave my BlackBerry familia like that. My 8700 won’t go out like that. Ugh, T-Mo.
