Amazing! Just listened to it. Definitely one of the best Juan Epsteins and I’m a fan of all of them. One thing, I wish you guys asked about the Gang Starr “Gotta Get Over” remix record. You guys are the ones that put me on to that record with the sound clash. And to be honest it’s one of my favorite Gang Starr records. Its just drums and a bass but both of those hit soo damn hard its crazy. Besides that DOPE DOPE Juan Epstein!!!

Ciph that was an amazing episode man. Large Pro got some stories man! He’s been one of my top 5 all-time hip-hop producers so to hear him just talk about the come up, Nas and producing for Rakim was pretty crazy! You definitely need to get him back for a second episode, matter fact you should try and have him and Q-tip on the same episode! That would be ill.
Looking forward to that DJ Premier episode, good lookin’ out

i wasnt dissing u ciph, im from u.k and defo dnt know as much as you or alot of people on here i bet about real hip hop, im just an underground fan who stumbled upon the stORY and it might of been oh word maybe i just remember the jist of it was he wasnt really a street dude he was like from a white middle class family i thnk and he was a real helpful guy teaching many of hip hops now legends how to make beats and if he hadnt of got killed would be up there with the three P’s premo proffesor and pete on the boards. His family was also kind of bitter saying here was aguy who was the epitomy of goodness who wanted tohelp people out and the street life took him away and they kind of blame hip hop for that but hes definatly a forgotten dude , will try and find the stroy and sorry for hogging the limelight. Big up to juan eps return to greatness aswell. PEACE !

I was talking to someone the other day about who would be good to hear on juan ep and I mentioned Bob Power so I third that vote. Another good one would be Dante Ross – he’ll have good stories from being at Elektra in the 90s.
Did Large Pro do a remix for Shante? I’ve got a vague memory of Shante track where she disses every female mc on one track with a Extra P remix that was nice…

first off let me say that Juanepstein is the bomb and that you guys really make a great combo (like frie rice with chicken wings). Anyhow, I have a question and a one request. First do you think you guys could get DJ Doowop on your show? It would be great to hear what he’s doing these dayz, being that he really laid down back in the day. Secondly , I believe that you guys had a feud a few episodes back where Cipher no longer wanted to do the podcast but he then apologize for his emotional out burst. Was there a podcast leading up to this event or was it a behind the scene situation that spilled over to the podcast. Sorry if it seems like a stupid questions, but you guys are always going at each other which makes the podcast great, so I wasn’t sure if I missed something or if it went over my head.
