AWKWARD INDUSTRY PARTIES – SHOUT OUT TO DATWON
If anybody really knows me, they know I hate going to industry parties. I just feel mad awkward in these settings. Maybe it’s cause I don’t drink, or maybe cause I don’t like a lot of fake industry shit, or maybe cause I don’t dress up. I’m not sure why it is. To quote my friend Miss Info (missinfo.tv) “you try to work with logic in an illogical business”. I just find it frustrating that I was personally invited to this event but security ask me to take my hat off… Why?? its a private party in a hotel penthouse. Why do I have to take my hat off?? Makes no sense. But after all my bitching and complaining, it turned out alright. Happy birthday to my boy Datwon, the new editor in chief of XXL magazine… congratulations my brother!!! I watched him climb the ladder to success for awhile now. He was shocked to see me cause he knows I never go to these type of things. Shout to my friends that were there like Angela, Kim, Tracey, DJ Profile, Tony, and a whole bunch of others.
This is that bullshit velvet rope shit I can’t deal with. Either let me in or don’t let me in… But don’t act like I’m not standing here and look over me. But I was good cause I was with The super star Miss Info. Walked right in.
Of course if Angela Yee was at the party, her partner in crime, Melyssa Ford would have to be there as well.
This was the high point of the evening. I met Rocsi from 106 and Park for the first time. Very classy young lady, and its cool meeting other people that do what you do. Its like a secret society. Terrance J was there too but I didn’t get a pic. His sneaker game is always on point. I wonder if they asked him to take his hat off.
The infamous celebrity drama queen, Miss Info and the b-day boy Datwon. Nice tie buddy. I wish I was a chief of something…

i agree with you on the whole industry party scene. and i also dissagree with you about rocsi. im sorry..im the 1st to applaud a strong woman doin her thang. but everytime ive come across her…well lets keep it PG and say its far from “very classy”
